When Erin and I started Timo & Violet, the mission was to make beautiful things for children, made with care. Organic fibers, ethical manufacturing, original artwork commissioned from women around the world.
What we didn't say out loud was that we were really building a philosophy. Beauty that holds up in the light and under a duvet at midnight, when nobody's checking.
Now we're bringing that same thinking to something that's been sitting with me since nearly the beginning: women's pajamas and homewear.
Here's the scene I keep coming back to. A parent gets a child dressed in something soft and considered, then throws on whatever's been balled up at the bottom of their own drawer for three years. Mine, for a long time, was an old t-shirt with a hole near the collar that I kept telling myself I'd replace.
The care stops at the nursery door. That's a quiet statement about whose comfort counts, and I don't think it's a small one.
This collection is our answer to it. Same fabric standards. Same manufacturing partners who've earned our trust the hard way. Same instinct to commission real artists instead of reaching for something generic. Only now it's for the person doing the tucking in, not just the one being tucked in.
The Art of a Beautiful Childhood was always going to grow to include the adults who make that childhood possible. Good sleep is where a lot of that childhood actually gets built. My patience the next day starts with how I slept the night before, and it took us a while to say that plainly.
